Demonstrating for Stampin' Up!

It's Sale-a-bration time with Stampin' Up!  At this time each year they host a large sale and incentive to join their team.  As I was interested in a number of items I signed up to demonstrate again.  Previously I joined in 2008 and had fun sharing Stampin' Up products with a number of friends.

The main reason I am back is that the products speak for themselves.  They are top-quality at reasonable prices.  These days I do a lot more purchasing of paper products and embellishments over stamp sets, but I am always glad for the consistency in quality and the fun options available.

If you are interested in purchasing or hosting a paper-crafting get-together, let me know.  I'd be glad to show you how I use some of the fun Stampin' Up products in my own crafting endeavors.

Snuggly Pillowcases

I found this super cute, woodland creature, flannel fabric and wanted to make something with it.  I decided it would make great snuggly pillowcases for my nephew's birthday.  I'll have to make more pillowcases soon for my own kiddos.  They are really a quick easy project!

Tongue-in-Cheek Crochet

After a friend posted this picture to my Facebook timeline, I had to make a little something special for her.

It was labeled, "Just because you can crochet doesn't mean you should."  This was her fun gift I made as a simple reminder.  I also included a tag with the above quote.
BTW Her daughter put them on an AG doll and said they fit perfectly.  :)

Some Sewing

I found these great dish towels at Kmart on sale and knew I would be able to find a good use for them.  The colors are so bright and cheerful!  Inspired by a friend, who keeps losing her towels in the floor, I decided to make hanging towels.  I followed this tutorial though I altered the look a little to make more rounded corners.  I am gifting the finished towels (I made two sets of 3) to my friend and my sister.

Girlie Mary Janes

After crocheting so many baby boy shoes it was time to make some girlie Mary Janes for my niece.  I found this cute pattern online and wanted to try it out.  I used a fun cotton yarn with a blend of colors to make these a little more versatile with matching clothes.  If I make more of them I'll try a variety of other colors, too, more like the pattern shows.
