Tongue-in-Cheek Crochet

After a friend posted this picture to my Facebook timeline, I had to make a little something special for her.

It was labeled, "Just because you can crochet doesn't mean you should."  This was her fun gift I made as a simple reminder.  I also included a tag with the above quote.
BTW Her daughter put them on an AG doll and said they fit perfectly.  :)

Some Sewing

I found these great dish towels at Kmart on sale and knew I would be able to find a good use for them.  The colors are so bright and cheerful!  Inspired by a friend, who keeps losing her towels in the floor, I decided to make hanging towels.  I followed this tutorial though I altered the look a little to make more rounded corners.  I am gifting the finished towels (I made two sets of 3) to my friend and my sister.

Girlie Mary Janes

After crocheting so many baby boy shoes it was time to make some girlie Mary Janes for my niece.  I found this cute pattern online and wanted to try it out.  I used a fun cotton yarn with a blend of colors to make these a little more versatile with matching clothes.  If I make more of them I'll try a variety of other colors, too, more like the pattern shows.

More Baby Boy Loafers

I loved how this pattern turned out for the last baby boy gift I made, so I wanted to use it again for a set of twins.  I used a cotton yarn in neutral colors to make complimentary pairs of shoes for the baby boys.  They were again super, fun and so cute!  I'll be using this pattern again, I'm certain.
